Magna International plans to soon open its fourth manufacturing plant in South Carolina, a 230,000-square-foot facility at the Tyger River Industrial Park on Highway 290 in Spartanburg County that will include dedicated assembly and sequencing lines to supply seats to BMW’s nearby assembly plant.
Parker Poe Consulting (PPC) experts assisted the Canadian company in facilitating key aspects in establishing this additional production facility in South Carolina. The new $29 million plant is expected to be operational in June, 2017 and create 480 new jobs over the next five years.
