Working with Parker Poe Consulting, EGGER Wood Products has committed to building the Austrian company’s first U.S. manufacturing facility, a particle board and veneer production facility in Davidson County, NC.

The new facility, which could include up to $700 million in capital investment and potentially 770 new jobs over the next 15 years, will establish EGGER as a North American market leader as it responds to growing U.S. demand for wood-based materials used in furniture and flooring. The plant will also impact the regional economy through procurement of wood byproducts from regional sawmills and additional services from local suppliers.
