Parker Poe Consulting worked with the Town of Lexington, SC, on creating a redevelopment plan that would generate funds to pay for critical future road improvements in the vicinity of US Hwy 378, Corley Mill Road and I-20. The plan proposes a tax increment financing (TIF) district centered on the development of a 260-acre site along rapidly growing Corley Mill Road at River Bluff High School. Funds earmarked through the application of the TIF will be devoted to making future improvements allowing for more efficient and safe vehicular movement.
With the assistance of the Town of Lexington, Parker Poe Consulting produced the Corley Mill TIF Redevelopment Plan which described the proposed development area, current conditions, project objectives, public/private development activities and associated budgets, and the project’s financial impact on the various taxing districts. Once the plan was reviewed and adopted by the Town of Lexington, it was also approved by the County of Lexington and Lexington School District # 1.
