Prestage Farms of South Carolina, LLC, a division of Prestage Farms, announced it will be establishing a new processing facility in Kershaw County, South Carolina. The $150 million investment is expected to bring 292 new jobs to the county and will be located at the Governor’s Hill Industrial Park in Camden. This new facility will process poultry products using state-of-the-art technology and automation, increasing sanitation and the shelf life of products.
Prestage Farms of South Carolina, LLC is a division of Prestage Farms, a family-owned pork and poultry producer headquartered in Clinton, North Carolina. The agribusiness has facilities in seven states and more than 2,700 employees. They have been operating in South Carolina since 1994 and the investment will mark the company’s second facility in Kershaw County.
