Blue Diamond Industries announced plans to invest $18 million to establish a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit production facility in Laurens County, South Carolina. The initial investment will create more than 90 new jobs and expects to be operational by July of 2022. The 190,000 square foot facility will produce the company’s popular conduit products and solutions used in the power utility, cable television, broadband, commercial and United States Department of Transportation markets. It will also serve as a logistics hub for their growing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) systems markets.
Blue Diamond Industries was founded in 2004 and acquired by Hexatronic Group AB in 2018. Hexatronic Group AB owns more than 25 infrastructure solutions companies aimed at serving the fiber optic market and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. The production facility is the company’s first on the East Coast and comes after rapid growth and transformation in the United States’ broadband network and infrastructure.
Parker Poe Consulting was pleased to assist Blue Diamond Industries with this project, along with our partners at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein.
