Symrise Pet Food, a subsidiary of the German conglomerate Symrise Group, announced its plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Hodges, South Carolina with a $65.5 million investment in a new, state-of-the-art facility. The investment will create 65 new jobs to meet the growing demand for its powder palatant products to be used in pet food applications. The Hodges location also serves as the company’s North American headquarters.
Symrise Pet Food offers multiple products and services to global pet food manufacturers to improve pet food palatability, nutrition, and protection. Its three expert brands include Pet Food Palatability with SPF, Pet Nutrition with Nutrios and Pet Food Protection with Videka (a joint venture with Kalsec®). The company operates on five continents with 1,500 employees and 31 industrial sites around the world. Symrise Pet Food is a part of the Taste, Nutrition & Health division of the larger Symrise Group, a global supplier of fragrances, flavors, food and cosmetic ingredients.
