Hexatronic Group AB, through its subsidiary Blue Diamond Industries, announced plans to invest $30 million to establish a new duct and pipe production facility in Ogden, Utah. The new facility will produce the company’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit products used in the power utility, cable television and broadband markets. This announcement comes after rapid growth and transformation in the United States’ broadband network and infrastructure.
Blue Diamond Industries was founded in 2004 and acquired by Hexatronic Group AB in 2018. Hexatronic Group AB owns more than 25 infrastructure solutions companies aimed at serving the fiber optic market and is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is the company’s fourth facility in the United States, with its other production facilities located in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Aubrey, Texas and Clinton, South Carlina.
